CHILDREN'S WRITING COMPETITION

Home Schooling Versus Physical Schooling: Which Do You Prefer and Why?

Akada Children Writing Competition Winners 2021

In 2020, we had a Children's Writing Competition for children under 13. It was so popular that we decided to do it again this year.

48 entries were received from Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, other parts of Nigeria, and also from Rwanda, Namibia and Madagascar.

26 out of those 48 have been shortlisted. The judges picked the top essays out of the final 26; scored them out of ten and stated why they selected each of those essays.

Top Five Finalists of the 2021 Clever Clogs Children's Writing Competition are:
1.   Michelle Adeyemi
2.   Oluwatosin Anibaba
3.   Keziah Akor
4.   Okikhemota Victor
5.   Eric Gboyega

Feedback for Michelle Adeyemi from the judges.

Michelle leaned on references and data to justify her points, which made her entry stand out, and also gave the reader a better perspective on the topic.

Feedback for Oluwatosin Anibaba from the judges.

Tosin's approach to the topic gave the reader an opportunity to look at both sides of the argument. The writer was able to subsequently justify the conclusion.

Keziah's ability to think outside the box, really helped in detailing the writer's point of view in respect to the topic. The points were clearly stated and convincing too.
